Editorial & medical review policy

Updated June 11, 2026

Content standard: every medical page on this site must meet eight requirements — a direct answer up front, structured presentation, authoritative references (WHO/ACOG/CDC and similar), author and medical-reviewer bylines, an updated date, a medical disclaimer, links to related tools/content, and no thin content.

Medical review: health pages are reviewed by a named OB-GYN before launch; the reviewer’s name, credentials and review date are shown on the page. During the current development phase, pages are honestly labelled “medical review pending”.

On the “safe period”: we state clearly that calendar-based safe days fail at 12–24% per year of typical use and are not reliable contraception. We provide the tool to help you understand your cycle — never as a birth-control method.

Corrections: spotted an error? Tell us via the site email; we verify and log fixes in the page’s update history.
